Are most graphics cards inserted into the PCI slots or the PCI-e slots on a desktop; and also can I insert another card if I still have an integrated card, and also is the NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT a good card? You don't have to answer the last question, it would just be helpful to me.

It depends on what your computer has some computers have PCI-e x16 some have AGP and some have plain old PCI so before you go out and buy a brand new card makes sure that it is possible for you to use it.
