they can be easily found and at affordable prices. but it takes a little effort. i come accross them all the time. i take rides out in the stix while keeping my eyes on the landscape. you'd be surprised at what's sitting in backyards and in the woods. i have a friend who travels all around the southeast US going to dirt track races and he always picks up the local trading post papers from small towns on his trips. you wouldn't believe the cars listed in them, and cheap too. there's some great finds out there, you just have to look hard.
