Rumors where that if they didnt get Kovy they would try to get Simon Gagne,now that there both gone,what will the kings do now?

They need to get more firepower up front, and losing both Kovulchuk and Gagne is the span of a few hours hurts a little bit, but there are still some fine players out there. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up a free agent or two, and make a couple of trades as well. They have a ton of cap space and money, but they need to act fairly quickly I think. They have wasted so much time trying to get Kovulchuk, that they need to add soon.

If they don't, then I think the Kings will be pretty much right where they were last year. Middle of the pack in the Western Conference, perhaps win a playoff round and then out. With all their young talent, they will be legitimate cup contenders in a few years, but if they want to compete now, the GM needs to act soon.
