Moving a patch on my baseball jersey?

My baseball jersey has about 20 different patches on the back side of it. I've been collecting these patches for a while now, and when I get about 5 or so, I take them down to the local alteration shop. When I got home from picking up my jersey yesterday I noticed one patch about one inch off from where I told them to put it. It might be petty, but it throws the pattern of patches off. My question is . Will it leave a mark or damage the jersey moving the patch from one place to another?

It would depend on how professionally the patch was applied at the alteration shop. Usually, if it has not been on very long, and the stitching is not too noticeable, it would be possible to move the patch without leaving a noticeable mark around the place where it was attached.
It also depends on the type of fabric on the jersey whether the stitching is noticeable at a distance or not. But I would not worry. If you have over 20 patches on the back, it probably won't matter that much. If it is only one inch off, moving it would only leave at most a partial track of the stitching, anyway.

Don't sweat it. If there is any doubt, just have them change the patch for a larger one (if you can find one, and it doesn't throw off the the pattern as you mentioned.) That would hide the former stitching. Of course, that won't work if all the patches are the same or similar sizes.
