Seeing so many uneducated people on this site claiming that, i.e. the sun is the cause of the warming, makes me wonder if people need to at least know the basics in order to be good voters.

That said, I'm sure it would run into the same conservative opposition that Evolution encountered in the early 1900's.

And to be politically fair, I think the curriculum should cover both sides. We could cover all the basics about stratospheric cooling, etc. and how it points to AGW. We can talk about tropospheric hot spot signatures which suggest the warming might not be caused by man. We can talk about Spencer's cloud feedback model, and note that he is one of the only scientists that believes in it. And we can talk about how 97.4% of climate scientists agree AGW is real and caused by man, but not that consensus does not translate to fact.

It's their future climate. They are the ones who will bear the brunt of climate change if we fail to act and they need to understand what is in store for them.
They need to be armed with the facts. They need to be taught in both science and in geography about climate change. Anything less is betraying them simply for our convenience.

How to Spot a Fake Rolex

The Rolex watch is the ultimate accessory.  Fashionable and chick Rolex is known all over the world as the status symbol of wealth and style.  Unfortunately as one of the worlds most sought after watches, Rolex attracts a lot of counterfeits. It takes a distinguishing eye to ensure you buy only authentic timepieces, but it's not that difficult to learn to spot a fake Rolex.  With a few bits of handy information you can recognize the classic indications of a counterfeit.

The easiest way to spot a fake Rolex is to look for the elements of the construction that Rolex never uses in its watches.  For instance, Rolex has never manufactured a watch with a see-through case, and does not use a skeletal dial in its watches.  Also Rolex does not use any amount of rubber in its watches, and are only made form stainless-steel, gold or platinum.  Rolex has never manufactured watches in China. A watch with any of these elements is a fake and should be avoided.

Recognizing the key signatures of an authentic Rolex is also very useful in identifying a counterfeit.  A gold Rolex watch is only made of 14 or 18 karat gold, and is never gold plated.  Day and date features are only found on men's full size Rolex watches, and never in stainless-steel.  A Rolex feels heavy in your hand.  Most fakes are made form lighter metals and the difference in weight is noticeable.  The cyclops is the feature of a watch that magnifies the day within the crystal.  A Rolex Cyclops magnifies the day 2.5 times, while most counterfeits only magnify at 1.5 times at best.   Rolex uses a laser to etch the Rolex crown into the crystal.  Often fakes try to copy this etching but it will feel rough to the touch.

Buying a Rolex can be a fantastic experience, but it can also be a costly one if you aren't able to spot the fakes. Remember to look for the key indications of a counterfeit, and the signatures elements of a Rolex that are the hardest to replicate.   If you're not sure you should have the watch checked out by a certified appraiser, but if you take the time to familiarize yourself with the signs you can become an expert in how to spot a fake Rolex.
